Firearms Detection
Comprehensive evaluation of detection accuracy, search speed, and handler communication. Standards include 100% detection of concealed firearms and explosives under varied environmental conditions.
Security Patrol
Assessment of patrol efficiency, route security, and threat response. Standards require consistent identification of suspicious behavior and the ability to maintain a secure perimeter under pressure.
Handler Evaluation
Objective assessment of handler skills including tactical command, physical fitness, and professional conduct. Standards ensure that the handler is fully capable of operating the K9 unit in the field.
Credential Verification
Verification of all certification credentials against NSWKA's independent database. Standards require that every certification reflects successful evaluation against documented operational benchmarks.
EVALUATOR QUALIFICATIONS
- NSWKA Certified K9 Evaluators must hold a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in security operations or K9 detection.
- Evaluators must be current holders of a valid, active security certification from a recognized national or international body.
- Each evaluator is required to maintain a minimum of 50 hours of specialized training annually in firearms detection and security patrol.
- NSWKA maintains a rigorous credential verification process to ensure all evaluators meet the highest standards of professional conduct.
- Evaluators are subject to a continuous performance review to ensure operational integrity and technical excellence in every evaluation.
